When a problem with the CytoSMART® Lux3 FL occurs, an orange notification will appear with a message. One or multiple of the following messages can appear:
Please connect the device |
This message appears when there is no connection to the device. Check if the USB cable is properly connected to the device and laptop. If the warning still appears after checking, please try a different USB 3.0 port of the laptop. |
Not charging |
The laptop is not charging. Please connect the laptop to a power supply. If the laptop turns off due to loss of power, the experiment will stop and no more images are taken. |
Slow or no internet connection |
This message appears when the software has been started but no internet is present. Make sure to connect the laptop to internet via WiFi or cable. |
Disable the sleep mode before making changes to the settings. |
When you are trying to access the channel settings panel while the device is sleeping this message appears. Please tap or click on the screen to wake up the device. After the device has woken up, you can make adjustments to the channel settings. |
You can only change the setting when the device is connected. |
This message appears in case you try to access the channel settings panel while the device is not connected. Please make sure the USB cable is properly connected to the device and laptop. |
The exposure time you have chosen is pretty high |
You receive this message when the exposure time of the fluorescence channel you have chosen is longer than 1.1 seconds. Any changes that you apply to the channel settings will take the duration of the chosen exposure time before they can be observed in the live view. |
The LED was turned off due to overheating. Please wait a minute before turning it back on. |
When the live view of one of the fluorescence channels is turned on for a long time the LED overheats and shuts down to prevent the LED from burning out. Please wait a minute for the LED to cool down to a safe temperature before turning it on. You can still adjust the settings of the other fluorescence channel or the brightfield channel in the meantime, but you need to turn on the LED of that channel manually. |
